James Keller’s roots in Napa Valley real estate extend back three generations with his grandfather, father, mother, and brother all involved in the profession. James graduated from the University of Southern California in 1999 and obtained his real estate broker’s license that same year, returning to the Napa Valley where he joined his family’s real estate practice and eventually became part owner of Coldwell Banker Brokers of the Valley. It was soon evident however that James’ interests transcended the general residential market and so he created his own specialized practice focusing on the elite real estate opportunities specific to the wine country market and combining expertise in luxury residential, vineyard land, winery operations, restaurant, hotel, and commercial real estate to represent buyers and sellers of the valley’s most prized properties.
More than a broker, James is also personally involved in the local real estate market through a diverse array of holdings. Among his projects in the Napa Valley and beyond, he recently purchased two buildings in the thriving downtown Napa area and refurbished them to entice new premium tenants including one of the year’s most anticipated new restaurants, in which he is also an investor. His other current and past development projects include vineyard, winery, multi-family, and hotel.
James resides in the Napa valley with his wife Lindsay, a fourth generation Napa native, and their children Charlie, Lauren, James, and Andrew. He and his wife are active in the wine industry, producing their own wines from family vineyards and carrying forward the traditions of their Napa Valley heritage for the next generation. Through it all however, James remains first and foremost committed to working with elite buyers and sellers, creating relationships and representing the wine world’s most desirable properties.
